Technifarm is the precision farming leg of PROFERT. It can be described as the philosophy / set of principles aimed at ensuring that farming is done most effectively. 

Through the meaningful application of new technology and up to date information, input cost is reduced, yield is increased and farming risks are reduced.  Any farmer – whether he farms on large or small scale - can make use of, and benefit by precision farming.

The service starts at the exact survey of the land with the latest GPS devices. Soil samples are taken every 2- or 4ha on dry lands and soil samples from every hectare of irrigated lands.  Chemical soil data charts are then written with the pH, phosphate, potassium, Ca, Mg, Zn, B, Na, Fe, Cu, Mn and S along with the calcium- and phosphate-corrected charts.

Nitrogen-, phosphate- and potassium-maps for variable application and harvest yielding charts can be provided if the farmer has the necessary hardware to receive such data.
